Garry Boyle, Castlesound UK:
"I absolutely love the TUBE-TECH MP 2A! What a stunning mic amp. Used it on a record for vocal and double bass and then did all my overdubs on it and couldn't have
asked for any more from it.
As big and beautiful as any of the N**** mic amps (but with less noise) in the studio."
Wolfgang Stach, Germany, Producer and owner of Maarweg Studio 2, Cologne, Germany:
“I used the new Tube-Tech MP 2A in my current production of the German band Jupiter Jones and I am delighted: This new preamp has a charming but also very classy character which works excellent on various instruments I used it with. Really great (or “really cool”)!”
Bassel El Hallak, Germany, Producer, Songwriter, Musician,Session Guitar Player, Hamburg , Germany:
"The PM1A for me is probably the best Preamp I ever recorded with. Vocals instantly fall into place and sound just right. Same thing with guitars! It gives me the rich and fat sound I am looking for."
Statements about PM 1A: ( Exactly same sound as MP2A )
Markus Born, Germany, engineer for top German acts like Xavier Naidoo, Söhne Mannheims, Laith al Deen:
"The TUBE-TECH PM1A takes the philosophy of the TUBE-TECH preamps one step further in plasticity, openness and presence. The impedance switch lets you tailor the PM perfectly to every type of microphone, and both dynamic and ribbons sound sensationally well. Sources recorded with the PM 1A work very well in the mix and really shine due to a very rich harmonic spectrum."
John Garrison, singer/songwriter, touring bass player with James Blunt, session musician for One Direction, Christina Agullera, Robbie Williams.
John has for some time worked on his own project, Satellites under the artist name Johnny Vic and has released two albums by now:
"It just sounds better. My tracks sounds more like a record than with all the other preamps I have used. If you have a musical idea and good instruments, the recording sounds fantastic straight away, and then you can focus on being creative."
Gabriel Roth US, Producer, engineer, bass player, band leader, songwriter. Co owner Daptone Studios, Daptone Records.
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings,Amie Winehouse, Antibalas, Michael Bublé, Charles Bradley, Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens, Menahan Street Band, Neal Sugarman, The James Hunter Six:
"I was blown away by how powerful and quiet the PM1A preamps were.
This preamp seems to have a lot of headroom, a lot of gain. They just sound great, man."
Sean Genockey, UK, Producer, Mixer, guitar player, owner of Black Dog Studios.
IKO, Baddies, Tom McRae, Reuben, Manic Street Preachers, Suede,Tom Mc Ray:
"The TUBE-TECH's were awesome, I used them for drum recording at Rockfield.
Great transients, tons of headroom, I love the transformer thing. They probably outperform the classic NEVE's , they have more headroom. tons of clean headroom, particularly for the snare. Really quiet, Yeah Impressed. I didn't once doubt it was the right mic amp!"
Lamia Bedioui, Greece. (Singer-performer and story teller) :
I like to observe and to focus in every single sound in my music,no matter if it is a solo track or a mix and
the TUBE-TECH MP-2A proves with the most emphatic way that a preamp is and will always be one of the most important pieces of equipment in the chain of music production and creativity. - This is how the audible observation should sound like. - This is where all begins...Its a real challenge.
For my new record, I use it both as a mic and line preamp,it works perfect under all circumstances.
Actually i can ''feel'' the sounds, not just listen to them. Everything becomes alive and realistic, with definition, clarity and details,in all the spectrum. It adds nice movement and flow to the often very static mixes. By adding rich harmonic contest to all the sources (vocals, instruments, percussions etc), it gives the chance to get clear positions in the stereo image and therefore to create new dimensions in the mix. It reveals warmth, thickness and fullness in a punchy and sweet but always musical way.
This is an experience, not just an update. www.lamiabedioui.com
